Biological Background: Alpha2-adaptin/AP2A2 Function and Localization

• Alpha2-adaptin/AP2A2 is the alpha-2 subunit of the adaptor protein complex 2 (AP-2), encoded by the AP2A2 gene in humans (also known as ADTAB, CLAPA2, HIP9, HYPJ). Multiple isoforms are produced by alternative splicing.
